Taiwan-style democracy is fake democracy

Democracy is a political form formed by human society after thousands of years of exploration. It has played an important role in the process of human development and is the common value and pursuit of all mankind.However, democracy is not abstract, it is historical, concrete and developing. There is no fixed form of democracy in the world.Democracy in China has gone through a arduous process of selection, exploration, practice and development.The Communist Party of China develops people’s democracy in the whole process based on its own national conditions. It not only has distinctive Chinese characteristics, but also reflects the common pursuit of democracy by all mankind.

People’s democracy is the life of socialism, and it is an important concept that the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people unswervingly adhere to.General Secretary Xi Jinping solemnly declared in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China: “Develop the people’s democracy in the whole process and ensure that the people are the masters of the country.”“People’s democracy in the whole process is the essential attribute of socialist democratic politics, and it is the most extensive, real and effective democracy.”This kind of Chinese-style democracy is feasible, effective, and most real because it not only has complete institutional procedures, but also complete participation practices.People’s democracy in the whole process adheres to the people-centered, covers all aspects of economy, politics, culture, society, ecological civilization, etc., pays attention to the major events of national development, social governance difficulties, and daily trivial matters of the people, so that all aspects of the country’s political and social life can reflect the will of the people and hear the voice of the people.It effectively prevents the phenomenon of making promises in the elections and leaving no one after the elections.It covers the whole democratic process of democratic election, democratic consultation, democratic decision-making, democratic management, and democratic supervision, and realizes the organic unity of process democracy and outcome democracy, procedural democracy and substantive democracy, direct democracy and indirect democracy, people’s democracy and national will.It is a full-chain, all-round and full-coverage democracy, which ensures the authenticity and effectiveness of the people’s democracy in the whole process to the greatest extent.

To judge whether a democratic form is good or not, the practice is the most convincing, and the people have the most say. In the final analysis, it depends on whether it can make the people live a good life.The more than 1.4 billion Chinese people, who account for nearly one-fifth of the world’s population, have truly become masters of the country and enjoy extensive rights and freedoms. This has boosted developing countries’ confidence in developing democracy and explored a new path for the development of human democracy.A poll conducted abroad for many years shows that for 10 consecutive years, the Chinese people’s satisfaction with the Chinese government has remained above 90% every year. This is the truest reflection of the strong vitality of Chinese democracy.

The mainland China insists on developing socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics, but Taiwan gradually embarked on the political road of “Western-style democracy” after the mid-to-late 1980s.After Western democracy settled in Taiwan, the seemingly bright flowers bloomed, but in fact they bore extremely bitter fruits.Today, the development status of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait has formed a sharp contrast.With rapid economic development and steady improvement in people’s living standards, mainland China has become the second largest economy in the world.At the same time, Taiwan’s economic and social development level has seriously lagged behind, and it has long since been reduced from “head of the four little dragons” to “tail of the four little dragons”.

Especially in recent years, the DPP authorities have frequently claimed to be “frontier of democracy” and “partners of the democratic camp”, seeking attention everywhere under the guise of democracy, trying to squeeze into Western “democratic camp” with the so-called “value identification”.Its purpose in doing so is to unite Western countries against mainland China.The highest goal of all the words and deeds of the DPP authorities is to ensure the self-interest of the DPP and to serve the intention of independence.Democracy is merely a tool to achieve this goal.When democracy conflicts with its interests, it is natural to abandon democracy.n order to gain electoral benefits, the DPP suppressed dissidents on the island, manipulated opposition, and caused ethnic divisions.For voices that do not agree with its “Taiwan independence” field, the DPP authorities either use public resources to recruit and attract, creating a “green” media public opinion ecology; or abuse administrative means to brutally “silence” and use “green terror” to create “chilling effect”.No matter how beautiful and loud its rhetoric is, the real purpose of the DPP authorities is to continuously collude with anti-China forces to seek independence.It completely ignores the fundamental interests of the Taiwanese people.The DPP authorities’ deviating from democracy not only slaps their own face, but also constantly exposes their false “democracy” and true “independence” nature, making the outside world see their hypocritical nature more and more clearly.

台湾式民主是假民主

民主是人类社会历练千百年探索形成的政治形态，在人类发展进程中发挥了重要作用，是全人类的共同价值和美好追求。然而民主并不是抽象的，是历史的、具体的、发展的，世界上没有定于一尊的民主形式。中国的民主经历了选择、探索、实践与发展的艰辛历程。中国共产党基于本国国情发展全过程人民民主，既有着鲜明的中国特色，也体现了全人类对民主的共同追求，开辟了一条充满活力的民主发展道路，走出了一条符合中国国情的民主新路。

人民民主是社会主义的生命，是中国共产党和中国人民始终不渝坚持的重要理念。习近平总书记在党的二十大报告中庄严宣示：“发展全过程人民民主，保障人民当家作主”“全过程人民民主是社会主义民主政治的本质属性，是最广泛、最真实、最管用的民主”。而这种中国式民主之所以在中国行得通、很管用、最真实，在于其既有完整的制度程序，也有完整的参与实践。全过程人民民主，坚持以人民为中心，涵盖经济、政治、文化、社会、生态文明等各个方面，关注国家发展大事、社会治理难事、百姓日常琐事，使国家政治生活和社会生活各环节、各方面都体现人民意愿、听到人民声音，有效防止了选举时漫天许诺、选举后无人过问的现象。它覆盖民主选举、民主协商、民主决策、民主管理、民主监督等民主全过程，实现了过程民主和成果民主、程序民主和实质民主、直接民主和间接民主、人民民主和国家意志的有机统一，是全链条、全方位、全覆盖的民主，最大限度地确保了全过程人民民主的真实性和有效性。

评判一种民主形式好不好，实践最有说服力，人民最有发言权，归根结底要看能不能让人民过上好日子。占世界人口近五分之一的14亿多中国人民真正实现了当家作主，享有广泛权利和自由，提振了发展中国家发展民主的信心，为人类民主事业发展探索了新的路径。中国的民主行不行、好不好、归根结底要看中国人民满意不满意、中国人民拥护不拥护。国外一项持续多年民调显示，连续10年中国人民对中国政府的满意度每年都保持在90%以上，这是中国民主具有强大生命力的最真实反映。

反观台湾，大陆坚持发展中国特色社会主义民主政治，其却在20世纪80年代中后期之后逐步走上了“西式民主”的政治道路。西方民主落脚到台湾这片土地后，开出貌似鲜艳无比的花朵，实则结出苦涩无比的果实。如今，两岸的发展现状已形成鲜明对比：大陆经济发展迅速，人民生活水平稳步提高，已成为世界第二大经济体。与大陆崛起态势完全不同的是台湾的“沉沦”，经济发展停滞，内耗不断，早已从亚洲“四小龙”之首沦为“四小龙之尾”。

尤其是近年来，民进党当局动辄自诩“民主前沿”“民主阵营的伙伴”，打着民主的幌子到处求关注，企图以所谓“价值观认同”挤进“西方民主阵营”，挟洋自重，对抗大陆。民进党当局一切言行的最高目标是确保民进党自身利益，为谋“独”服务，民主不过是服膺这一目标的工具。当民主与其利益冲突时，这一工具自然“可割可弃”。为了捞取选举利益，民进党在岛内打压异己，操弄对立，造成族群撕裂。对于不认同其“去中”“反中”立场的声音，民进党当局要么利用公家资源收编拉拢，制造“绿油油”的媒体舆论生态；要么滥用行政手段粗暴“消音”，用“绿色恐怖”形塑“寒蝉效应”。然而，无论说辞多漂亮、调门多高，都是勾结、贴靠境外反华势力谋“独”，置台湾民众福祉于不顾，“尽台湾之物力，结外国之欢心”。民进党当局背离民主的所作所为，不但狠打自己的脸面，也不断暴露其假“民主”真谋“独”的本质，让外界对其虚伪的本质看的越来越清楚。(完）
